We had two wonderful days at La Colina Pura Vista. The view on the beach and the one on the jungle from the bathroom are amazing! The cabinas have all the comfort needed. Corinne and Laurent are very kind, friendly and excellent cooks. Playa San Miguel is beautiful and very quiet, and you may have the chance to have it for yourself! We highly recommend La Colina!! "Increìble" Por la demanda de trabajo que tenemos mi novio y yo siempre estamos buscando lugares a los que podamos ir a descansar, sin mucha gente y este lugar es increíble. Solo hay 2 cabañitas por el momento, por lo que los primeros días solo estuvimos él y yo. El hotel está en la cima de una colina, no tiene nada alrededor por lo que hay silencio y el único sonido es el de la naturaleza alrededor. Acaban de cambiar de administración y Laurent & Corine, sus nuevos dueños, son personas super amigables, serviciales que nos hicieron la estadía la mejor experiencia. De paso Laurent es un excelente chef! La comida fue espectacular, todos los días aun siendo los únicos huéspedes, se preocuparon por cambiar el menú, con productos de excelente calidad y los postres deliciosos. El desayuno está incluido y siempre tuvimos pan casero, jaleas, natilla, queso, jamón, café, frutas, jugo de frutas y huevos al gusto. Además de ellos 2 está su perrito Jeaux, un poco tímido por su llegada al país, pero muy educado y no fue molestia en ningún momento. Las cabañas no tienen aire acondicionado ni televisión, pero con el paisaje, las playas cercanas y la excelente ventilación de las cabañas (además del abanico) no son necesarios. Las cabañas en su parte posterior tienen amplias ventanas cubiertas de cedazo y mientras se está en el baño se ve la vegetación y la fauna del lugar. "Gorgeous location with delicious food!" Gorgeous and peaceful location! Stunning views, lovely, big pool. It was quiet and off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. The (new) hosts are lovely people, they did everything to accomodate us and were good company! Wonderful people! Place is fantastic for relaxing and has the most stunning views. Rooms are spacious, clean and beds are comfortable. Every morning we had delicious breakfast but dinner and lunch was also delicious. The French inspired cuisine was finger-licking good! "Loved La Colina Pura Vista" I liked and enjoyed it all, including our two wonderful hosts. Among other great qualities, Severine is a really good cook and Joseph is so sweet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets so soft! The property is beautiful and the view was spectacular. Whether it was sitting next to the pool or any place else on the property it was so peaceful and relaxing. The monkeys came around and played in the trees near sundown. While it's a sleepy little spot on the map we were still able to find and do fun things either within minutes or, at most, in an hour when we ventured out to the more active town of Samara. Nevertheless, nearby we were able to kayak and explore the mangroves in addition to enjoying the surf at the beach. Fun waves but not dangerous! But most of all I felt completely at home at La Colina Pura Vista and we were well taken care. You knew the level of consideration when the first time we came back late we found a lamp set for us on the table near our door. On a last personal note, their little pups were the absolute cutest! Missing my own dog, Biggums (sp?) filled the empty spot with her companionship. I miss her the most. My traveling companion and I wouldn't think twice about staying there again. Severine was a wonderful host. Pictures simply cannot do this place justice. This is an exclusive cabin located on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. Breakfast and Sunsets on the veranda were amazing. AC is not needed here as the sea breeze takes care of you. If you have an SUV and you are looking for seclusion and tranquility, Playa San Miguel is the place for you. We would advise getting a GPS as this is rather rural and most Ticans have never been here. If you encounter a small river or stream you need to cross wait for a local to show you the path first! "Magique et magnifique" Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits à La Colina et avons adoré notre séjour: piscine avec vue sur l'océan au milieu de la jungle avec au loin le bruit des singes hurleurs. Le soir on s'endort paisiblement avec le son des vagues au loin . Les chambres sont propres et très bien décorées, les transats et matelas au bord de la piscine sont très confortables , le petit déjeuner est copieux et excellent , Séverine se plie en 4 pour nous faire plaisir! Le dîner est excellent (après avoir dîner une fois à La Colina vous ne voudrez plus aller ailleurs) dans un cadre romantique sous les étoiles. Cela reste un de nos meilleurs souvenir de voyage!! Joseph et Séverine sont super accueillants et il est très agréable d'échanger avec eux! On voit qu'ils aiment ce qu'ils font! Nous sommes repartis avec presque les larmes aux yeux! My wife and I so enjoyed our stay at La Colina Pura Vista. The views of the Pacific, surrounding land, and the night sky and stars are outstanding. It is one of the very best Airbnb's we've stayed at. The hosts Severine and Joseph are among the best, they are considerate, respectful of the guests' privacy, and so helpful. This must be a type of environment that you are looking for, however. It is beautifully remote, dirt roads, and did we say remote. It is fantastic. And the included breakfast freshly prepared by Severine each morning and enjoyed on the most beautiful terrace imaginable is exquisite. The best starts to our days there. "Lovely lovely place" This property is just as described and was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. It was quiet and off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. The beaches were spectacular and the inn-keepers are lovely people. The cabins are just charming! We thank them for everything. Everything was superb. "Home away from home" We stayed here for four nights and were sad to leave the morning of our departure! Our hosts were a lovely family that made sure we were always comfortable. Joseph kept the property beautiful while Severine made sure we had everything we needed, answered questions and cooked us some fantastic breakfasts and dinners. It felt like being at home. The cabin we had was lovely and clean. Though there are insects in and around the property, you are in the middle of the jungle and the insects (I saw a stick insect) as well as the animals (we became well accustomed to our monkey neighbours) are pretty harmless. The pool area is ideal and the sunset is not to be missed! The local beach is the best one in the area according to us - beautiful coral sand and fun waves. There are a few little convenience stores not too far from the property and a pizza place right around the corner. My husband would like to add that the driveway was easy to drive by Costa Rican standards! If you want to be in nature and still have some of the first world luxuries then this is the place to be! Place is fantastic for relaxing and has the most amazing view . Rooms were beautifully and tastefully decorated and beds were comfortable. Every morning we had delicious breakfast and home made bread with the most peaceful view of the ocean. Pool was a huge plus and since there are only a few guests it is perfect to spend your day reading and napping in the hammock by the pool. Home made dinners are very romantic and a perfect way of ending your day . We LOVED the Pura Vista and highly recommend it . Et paradis hvor du kommer tett på jungelen med alle dens lyder og farger samtidig som du bor i en behagelig chalet med gode senger og et fantastisk baderom. Den hjemmelagde frokosten var perfekt og fikk oss til å stå opp tidlig for å kunne sitte på terrassen med utsikt over stillehavet og spise og drikke kaffe så lenge som mulig. Vi hadde med to barn på 8 år og de koste seg i bassenget eller slappet av i hengekøyene. Passer også perfekt for et par voksne som bare ønsker en rolig og avslappet ferie. Nous avons passé un excellent moment à la Colina Pura Vista - de vraies vacances dans nos vacances. Le cadre est magnifique, bien qu'il nécessite quelques efforts pour y accéder (mais qui seront très largement récompensés!) : le 4*4 est donc indispensable. Seules deux "cabañas" sont perchées sur cette colline devant une piscine avec vue à 180 degrés sur le Pacifique, entourées d'une végétation luxuriante (et de quelques singes hurleurs lors de notre passage). La Colina Pura Vista est tenue par Severine et Joseph qui ont su créer un lieu hors du temps, authentique, avec une décoration soignée. Si vous passez par chez eux, ce que je vous recommande chaudement, il faut impérativement profiter des bons plats de Severine - nous nous sommes régalés. "Perfect place to go escape" Dream start with the breakfast :) The breakfast was HUGE! It included a wide variety of fruits, freshly baked bread with jam, cheese and salami, and your choice of cooked eggs. It also included freshly squeezed fruit juice and coffee on a beautiful patio with a view. The owners of this place are extra friendly and frequently ask if they can do anything to make your stay more pleasant. They also offer to pick you up from the gate to take you up to the property (saving a 30 minute walk up hill!). The property itself is 15 minutes walk to the beach and on a hill overlooking the playa de San Miguel. There are two cabins on the property and they are super clean and have a fan that works very well. There hammocks and a very clean pool with nice padded chaise lounges to rest on. The owner Sabrine offers an amazing dinner each night which I highly recommend. "Wonderful piece of paradise" This was truly the most beautiful place we went during our two week trip around the Nicoya Peninsula. The views are even more amazing than the pictures show. The hotel is so beautiful with amazing attention to detail that you can see everywhere. You really feel like you are staying in a beach paradise. Our room was super clean and comfortable. The only thing even better than the place are Joseph and Severine and their wonderful daughters and the dogs! They were more than friendly and welcoming and really made us feel like we were part of the family. We were not able to locate any ATMs on our drive there so they even lent us some cash. And the two adorable little dogs are an extra bonus. Severine prepared a delicious breakfast every morning on their terrace overlooking the beach. We got fresh baked bread each morning that was warm and delicious. We also had her dinner one night that was amazing delicious as well. Déjà la vue est incroyable ... et il émane de cet endroit calme et sérénité. Les chambres sont bien décorées, salle de bain avec vue sur la forêt, le linge sent bon ! Une rencontre aussi qu'on n'oublie pas avec la famille qui a construit ce lieu qui ne ressemble à aucun autre. Un contact facile et tellement enrichissant. Modalités pratique: possibilité de diner sur place, Séverine prépare des plats plus délicieux les uns que les autres qui change chaque soir...un délice ! Idem pour le petit déjeuner: pain et confitures maison, jus de fruit, fruits frais, œufs ... tout ça servi avec soin. Les plages à proximité sont désertes et permet de longues balades en solitaire. We spent five nights with Severine and her very lovely family. The cabin was immaculate, and was kept so throughout our visit. The listing and most of the reviews were totally accurate~ a quiet, serene atmosphere, in a somewhat remote setting, with breathtaking reviews from dawn to dusk. The food was fantastic and we ate dinner there every night. Severine's fruit plates and homemade artisan bread at breakfast ,and her vegetable accompaniments (ratatouille and tomato confit) at dinner were our favorites. The rhythm of our days was to awake early and enjoy the setting with our morning coffee; eat breakfast at 7:30; explore the area and the beaches; eat lunch out and spend the afternoon swimming, reading, "resting", then having dinner at 7:30 PM. "Episch" Die Chalets sind erhöht auf einem Hügel mit genialer Aussicht. Die Chalets selbst sind sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Eine sehr aufmerksame, zuvorkommende und niedliche Familie, welche das Hotel betreibt. Wir haben immer sehr gut gegessen. Das Frühstück war wunderherrlich, es gab sogar selbst gebackenes Brot. "Magical location to relax" Word and pictures cannot describe the amazing stay we had at La Colina. It was quite a drive to get there but it was SO worth it. My family stayed there for three nights and had the best time relaxing by the pool, enjoying the view of the ocean and jungle, eating Severine's delicious breakfasts and dinners, and taking little trips to the absolutely stunning deserted beaches that are minutes away. La Colina was EXACTLY what my family was looking for in a "get-away-from-it-all" vacation. We absolutely loved the location and the view is unparalleled! The beautiful countryside and amazing beaches/ocean can be seen to the west, and the mountains are to the east. The cabins are simply furnished but have a hint of luxury to them, and offered enough room for our family of four. We were thrilled to watch the sunrise over the mountains each morning, and even got a visit from four howler monkeys swinging only feet from our window the first morning we were there. Our kids (ages 6 and 9) loved swimming in the pool, which was close enough to the cabin and eating area that my husband and I could move around the area while they swam. Severine and Joseph and their daughters were such gracious hosts. Severine speaks French, Spanish, and English. Joseph speaks mostly French. Severine's breakfasts were wonderful and we will never forget eating her freshly baked crusty bread while enjoying the ocean view each morning. We ate dinner at La Colina each evening after watching the sun set and Severine's dinners were just as good as her breakfasts! It was so convenient to have dinner prepared for us right there and not have to worry about going out. We visited two beaches while we were there, Playa Bejuco and Playa San Miguel. Both were gorgeous and almost completely deserted...again, exactly what we were looking for in our vacation! We ate lunch at Pizza Tree one day, and Cafe Sante another day -- both were delicious. "Inoubliable" Tout a été plus que parfait. A commencer par l'accueil de Séverine et Joseph qui sont aux petits soins pour rendre ce séjour inoubliable! Le lieu est magique. Le jardin et la piscine à débordement avec vue à 180° sur le Pacifique. La chambre est superbe et décorée avec soin et beaucoup de goût. La cuisine de Séverine a été la meilleure de notre séjour au Costa Rica ... et de loin! Le charmant service de leurs 2 filles est vraiment "sympa" Une impression d'être "ailleurs", loin de tout les soucis quotidiens, dans un décor bien supérieur à un décor de "carte postale". "Un 10 plus que mérité" Par où commencer? Peut être par l'excellent accueil qui nous a été réservé par les propriétaires et leurs 2 enfants. Leur gentillesse tout au long du séjour est à mettre en avant, tout comme les excellents petits déjeuners copieux et les diners du soir (la "chef" fait varier le menu mais c'est toujours aussi bon). On se sent comme chez soi, on est tout de suite mis à l'aise et on partage un véritable moment de convivialité d'un côté et de repos/relaxation de l'autre. Et puis, il y a cette vue imprenable sur le Pacifique et ses plages de sable immenses encore désertes. La piscine à débordement y trouve parfaitement sa place tout comme les éléments attenants (chaises longues, hamacs) invitant au repos et à la détente. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, offrent une vue directe sur la nature (et les singes de temps en temps!) et sur l'océan. Le B&B parfait, un véritable bijou en plein paradis. Le déjeuner super, nous avons pris le souper tous les soirs tellement ils étaient délicieux. Séverine, Joseph et leurs deux filles sont des personnes vraiment charmantes... "Regal absolu" Nous avons passé 4 jours en janvier 2016 dans cet endroit idyllique dans lequel nous avons eu un accueil absolument parfait de Séverine, Joseph et leur 2 adorables filles. Je n'ai pas de mots assez forts pour décrire la beauté de cet endroit, la vue phénoménale à 180° sur le Pacifique, la piscine de rêve, les bungalows très luxueux, dotés d'un charme fou et décorés avec un goût parfait. Nous avons beaucoup voyagé dans le monde et fréquenté de nombreux hébergements de toutes sortes, celui-ci est sans conteste le numéro 1. Les petits déjeuners sont extra, et je vous conseille vivement de goûter à la cuisine de Séverine, un vrai régal dans un cadre romantique. Je me suis cassé 2 côtes pendant notre séjour et nous avons du coup été plutôt sédentaires, pour notre plus grand plaisir, entre singes hurleurs, vautours, et pacifique. Beaucoup d'avis sur les différents hébergements écrivent un peu facilement le mot Paradis. "PARADISE ! Best experience in Costa Rica !" This was the most amazing experience we ever had on vacations! We would definitely recommend this little paradise! 1. The family is so welcoming and nice! It almost feels like home :) It was so sad leaving this place after the 6 nights we spend there! 2. The room and the rest of the property is amazing. Everything is clean and so nicely decorated! And you have your own coffee Machine and a fridge. The pool is fabulous and you really feel like you landed right in paradise. If you are lucky you wake up with the sound of monkeys right outside your bathroom window :) perfect costa rican experience! 3. THE FOOD! The breakfast is included and its amazing. You get freshly baked bread every morning! Along with really tasty costa rican coffee, a fruit plate, Cheese, ham, jelly and fresh juice. You sit on a nice terasse with a panoramic pacific view. Simply perfect. You should definately try the dinner there as well! The host is french and as you may know, the french really know how to cook. She offers one meal per night and its always delicious. We had everything from typical "Tico" food to barbeque, pasta, Chicken curry and fresh fish from Playa San miguel :) We will miss it! 4. Its not a touristy place, which we thought was perfect. There is a nice beach down the hill (we took the car, its about 15 min walking to the beach and a little longer back, since you have to walk up the hill) calles Playa San Miguel and it was totally deserted when we were there in July. No tourits there, you have the beach to yourself! 5. Activites:There is a "turtle night watch" at Playa San Miguel and you can patrol with them from July to September to see the turtles nest! "An unexpected and fantastic stay" We lucked out when we booked La Colina because most places on our initial hit list were booked solid. We didn't realize the gem we had been successful in booking until we got there. Tucked away at the top of a hill this secluded oasis offers the most amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. With only three rooms, the most noise you'll have to deal with is the sounds of the monkeys in the trees, which is actually quite ferocious and will wake you up with the sunrise every day. You will spot them from the screen windows in your room. Severine and Joseph are remarkably warm and hospitable hosts. They will ensure you have everything you need and are always available for questions or a quick chat, sharing in their own experience. Most memorable is Severine's fresh baked bread every morning at breakfast. The lodge itself is beautiful and simple. No bells and whistles here but you ultimately (and immediately) feel like less is more. An infinity pool is at the doorstep of all three cabanas if driving to the beach feels like a long way to go and thankfully can keep you cool when you need it. The quarters are close between all cabanas but privacy still feels accessible. The beach is vast and filled with locals. Tourists are sparse but can be seen here and there. It was nice to get to know our neighbours in the lodge since there weren't too many folks to encounter otherwise. A surf lesson that Severine coordinated for us was a highlight. We had the ocean to ourselves - only a few other locals riding the waves - and way cheaper than other popular areas of Costa Rica. - La Colina is hard to find! The panoramic west facing ocean view, is perfectly paired with a warm breeze and a stunning sun set. The darling cabins are clean, airy, bright, and spacious with tasteful decor. The owners breakfast is homemade bread, jams, cheese, meat, coffee, tea and smoothies. The beach is quiet and undisturbed. The ravine below is full of wild life and I loved hearing the monkeys at sunset and sunrise. "We will share this place with you" Spent 7 days there in January. La Colina and San Miguel is a beautiful playground for couples. Séverine and Joseph (a.k.a. Joléo) do everything with heart, effortlessly. They will observe you just enough so to help create the conditions you are looking to reach on that given morning. Full tranquility one day, more interactions the next. They are people-savvy owners and a very interesting couple to get to know. On the many beaches around, you won't see many girls in g-strings or guys with 6-pack showing, because there just aren't a lot of people around in the first place (fist pumping). So much so that my non-g-string wearing fiancee felt compelled to take her bra off while facing the sun 50 meters from shore with her frontal just barely making it out of the water, for everyone who is 51 meters from shore, which is no one but me when she did it. Apparently, most women get a kick out of freeing their frontal in the sun while no strangers' eyes are around. Back to your cabina at La Colina, your bathroom is the coolest place to be in. It's a big window screen with nature as a backdrop. Really cool I assure you. And the front of your cabina, well... wait 'til you see the view the VERY MOMENT you step outside. As a matter of fact, La Colina's website and Facebook page show pictures that are actually what the place is like in reality. No BS. Just go at La Colina. Especially if your goal is to further connect or reconnect with your loved one. They provide that kind of vibe, with the smaller details that make the difference.It's not a cheesy romantic place. It's the "girl (guy) next door" romantic feel place, you know, the right balance of everything. While keeping things simple and welcoming, and yet, adorable. Anyways, that's what five to seven days felt to us. And we are two high-pace professionals with the pedal to the metal on most days of the year, criticizing the hell out of everything that deserves it even the more slightly. Back to my point, go there to relax, read a book, catch up on your daily physical routine by the infiniti pool (for which many days you'll have to yourselves as the other couple who stays there will have hit the beach for the morning or the afternoon). PS. For afternoons or mornings when you are exclusively alone on site (only two or three small bungalows at La Colina, so that can happen, yieh!) bring a small bluetooth speaker to create your own ambiance. Do move the furniture around as it pleases you and your soon-to-be-again lover. Set yourself up. Look for the beach pillows neatly staked in one of the benches around the pool. Pull them all out and abuse them around and underneath you. Séverine and Joseph (a.k.a. Joléo) won't mind. They are cool intelligent cats. Just simply clean up after yourselves, as you want to respect your own environment and leave good karma behind you. Ok, I don't believe in that so much, but you know what I mean, right? (rhetorical question) P.S.S. La Colina is also gay-friendly. Not that we are gay or that there were gay people staying there at the time we stayed, but they're can definitely be a gay-friendly vibe at La Colina. If you're not gay or gay savvy and you do not get what I mean by "gay friendly", you don't have to get it. Gay people will definitely know what I mean... somehow... "Le Paradis" La COLINA PURA VISTA ça se mérite ! Après quelques heures de route dont la dernière heure de piste, nous voilà enfin arrivés ! Séverine nous accueille chaleureusement et nous découvrons enfin... Le Paradis ! Une vue splendide sur la campagne verdoyante, sur Playa Coyote et Playa San Miguel avec en toile de fond l'océan Pacifique. Séverine nous fait découvrir les lieux et notre cabane en bois. Tous y est fait pour profiter du calme et de la nature (balançoire, voilages, fauteuils, hamacs, transats ombragés et bien-sûr la piscine). Dans notre cabane (la bleue), la plus isolée, de grandes fenêtres fermées uniquement par des moustiquaires nous permettent d'observer la visite des nos copains les singes hurleurs et qui nous permettent d'avoir également une vue superbe de la Playa Coyote. Il y a tout le confort nécessaire, grande douche avec eau chaude, cafetière, théière, ventilateur, grand lit (avec des ressorts un peu rudes mais tout le reste est tellement parfait !) Et comment expliquer cette superbe rencontre avec cette famille de Français exilées. Séverine, Jo et leurs 2 filles nous ont accueillis et conseillés merveilleusement bien. Grâce à eux, nous avons pu faire du kayak seul dans les mangroves et apercevoir un caïman, mais aussi faire du surf avec Bill le Maître des vagues, un de nos meilleurs souvenirs. Sans oublier, les petits déjeuners et dîners de Séverine qui étaient d'une qualité exceptionnelle servis sur la terrasse avec toujours cette splendide vue . Nous pensons encore à ses délicieux smoothies, à son pain maison si croustillant et sa confiture banane/citron incomparable. "Exceptionnel et magique" Cette adresse de charme, tenue par Sev&Jo, un jeune couple fort sympathique de français (et leur deux filles), est dotée d’une situation exceptionnelle. Juchés sur un promontoire face à l’Océan Pacifique, cet hôtel et sa piscine à débordement offrent une vue à couper le souffle sur un panorama sauvage et grandiose. Les cabanes en bois offrent tout le confort nécessaire. Le souci du détail dans la décoration (à la fois moderne et épurée) et la proximité avec la jungle forment une ambiance de détente et de sérénité. Les repas, aussi bien les petits déjeuners que les dîners sont excellents. Sev&Jo sont par ailleurs de très bons conseils sur les promenades et les excursions à réaliser sur place (canoë dans la mangrove, cours de surf, visite de villages de pêcheurs). "Cabane charmante pas loin du paradis" Quand nous sommes arrivés à La Colina, nous avons tout de suite été séduits par cette vue immense à 180 degrés sur l’océan et par ce magnifique lieu que nos hôtes Séverine et Joseph ont créé de toutes pièces. Tout a été pensé dans les moindres détails pour le plaisir des yeux et notre confort: une fenêtre ouverte sur la mer, de jolis objets disposés ça et là, des créations inspirantes. La Colina, c’est la réalisation d'un rêve que ces expatriés nous partagent avec simplicité, générosité et talent en compagnie de leurs deux charmantes filles. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et on nous offre même la possibilité d’un savoureux repas le soir. Nos hôtes ont été très professionnels, discrets et respectueux, nous laissant toujours le choix de notre intimité ou d’échanger avec eux. Ça a été pour nous une occasion de découvrir une superbe région et deux êtres exceptionnels. Ils sont devenus des amis que nous avons quitté après quatre jours de bonheur en espérant les revoir. “So beautiful, peaceful and charming!” This place was really the best we had in Costa Rica and even in comparison with the travels we made before in Asia. The French family is very nice, the rooms are very nice decorated and If you look to your right or left from your balcony, the view is stunning. There are only two lodges, but that makes the place very personal. We couldn't get enough of making pics here, because we don't want to forget how nice it felt and how beautiful it was here. Il suffit de demander pour avoir des bons conseils pour les visites, l’organisation d’un cours de surf... La belle chambre décorée avec beaucoup de goût permet d'avoir une vue sur la baie d’un côté et sur la jungle de l’autre. Les singes viennent vous dire un bonjour. C'est vraiment fantastique. "Exciting discovery" We know many Costa Rican places. As this was new we thought we would try out, and we were delighted. Perched on a hill with an incredible panoramic view of the bay below, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in our comfortable chalet. The infinity pool has a brilliant view over the bay. The French owners were very friendly & welcoming, breakfasts excellent, and the one dinner we had very tasty. This is a very untouristy part of Nicoya, but if you like unspoilt places and pretty empty beaches, you will enjoy its real natural beauty. My boyfriend and I stayed at La Colina for 4 nights. The minute I saw the listing online I knew that was the place for us. The price was a bit out of my range but it turned out to be worth it. We arrived late night (best to arrive day
time) from Liberia. Although it was pitch dark around the place,
we could hear the ocean waves crashing. The following morning, I
was like a kid on Christmas morning and I was not disappointed.
The view is just magical! Severine made us breakfast every mornin;
it included fresh homemade bread, fresh fruits... The serenity of
the place is unexplicable. My bf and I found ourselves whispering
